With the 2019/20 EFL season currently placed on pause, fans of every club will be keen to see how the campaign is completed.
In the Championship, each team has nine games left of the season and of of yet, there are no clear plans as to how and when the season will be finalised.
We have seen the top-flight leagues in France and Netherlands cancelled, whilst the National League and below has also been cancelled as a result of the current global situation we face.
The EFL have reiterated that they are keen to complete the 2019/20 season, with it looking increasingly likely games will be played behind closed doors, though this is not for definite.
Can you name the mascot of these 40 EFL clubs? Have a go now!
The idea of the EFL leagues following suit with the French and Dutch leagues is not out of the question either.
For teams such as Leeds United and West Brom, who sit on the precipice of promotion to the Premier League, the conclusion of the 2019/20 season is of heightened importance.
Naturally, fans of different clubs may have different views to how the season should be finished and plenty of Birmingham City fans have been getting involved in a debate on Twitter that involves the aforementioned two teams.
BluesHQ asked their audience on social media: ‘Blues fans…. Do you think Leeds and West Brom should be promoted this season, if the 2019/20 season is cancelled?’
And it’s fair to say that many Blues fans were divided on the topic, as showcased below….
Yes if the Vile are relegated

Yea 100% they should, both dominated the division and the table doesn’t lie 🤷🏼♀️

I agree they were the two best teams so far but they both wobbled and not 100% either would have gone up.
I think the remaining games need to be played even if behind closed doors.

Yes decide everything with a PPG system, relegate the bottom 3, promote the top 3

Yes like has been pointed out, the table does not lie. If the season was to come to an abrupt end then positions should stand and promotions and relegations should happen. Would I say that if Blues were in bottom 3 with a chance of survival? 🤔 #BCFC #KRO

Nope. Still to up for grabs to do that. If only someone, somewhere had put in the rule book about an interruption to a season…I’m sure they will now though!

Na leeds would of bottled it

I think 2 teams should be promoted. Whether it should be those 2 simply because they are 1st & 2nd right now is tricky. Emotion removed do we think the bottom 3 in the Prem should be promoted, and if so, who goes up with the top 2 in the Championship. Then what about the others?
