Supporters love a good debate, particularly when it comes to who has the best support in the Sky Bet Championship, with the division hosting some of English football’s sleeping giants this season.

The likes of Derby County, Leeds United, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are all steeped in history, with all four clubs competing in the top-flight for large parts of their history.

The debate goes on who has the largest support in the Championship, particularly away from home. A latest tweet from @TheNinetyTwo_ has revealed that Sheffield Wednesday have averaged the largest away support throughout the current campaign so far, with an average of 3,306 supporters following the Owls.

Sheffield Wednesday are slightly ahead of Aston Villa (3,269) in the current standings, whilst Leeds (3,189) and Middlesbrough (2,991) are slightly further behind.

Many were surprised by the latest reveal, with supporters from a range of different clubs in the Championship weighing in on the debate.

Here is the best of the reaction…
