One of the biggest deals not to go over the line on deadline day was the proposed move of winger Daniel James from Swansea City to Leeds United, this despite the fact that the player was all set for it to be announced at Elland Road having successfully completed a medical.

A last minute change of heart by the Swansea board seems to have been the reason the deal fell through, and it left the 21-year-old with no choice but to return to the Liberty Stadium for the time being.

But with the Yorkshire-born star now back at Swansea for the remainder of the season, should any Premier League sides look to challenge Leeds for the player's signature in the summer?

We discuss.....

Alfie Burns

“Absolutely, James is showing what a talent he is.

“His goal in the FA Cup at the weekend showed what he was all about, whilst his age means he’s got room for improvement.

“A real talent that will be in the top-flight next year.”

Gary Hutchinson

“I’m not sure what all the hype is.

“I’ve seen O’Dowda, I get it, but James?

“He’s been okay for Swansea, but the furore isn’t warranted.

“I can’t see Prem sides dipping in the water for him.”

George Harbey

"He’s certainly got a massive future ahead of him.

"James has stepped up the plate and shown his true quality this season, and is worthy of a move to a better club in the summer.

"Leeds will be gutted if they miss out on him."

Jay Taylor

“After his FA Cup performance, I think plenty of Premier League sides will have had their interests piqued.

“James is a star and has a bright future in the game.

“Showing off his talent in a competition such as the FA Cup will only add to his growing list of admirers.

“I think come the summer he will have a lot more options than just Leeds United.”

Jacob Potter

"Surely there are Premier League sides rivalling Leeds for him?

"James is promising talent and could certainly cut it in the Premier League.

"I would be surprised if no other PL sides were rivalling Leeds for his signature."
