Leeds United and Aston Villa are among the Championship clubs to have made contact with Fulham after they made three fringe players available for transfer.

The Mirror's transfer blog reveals how Stefan Johansen, Floyd Ayite and Neeskens Kebano have all been told they can leave Craven Cottage this month.

The trio played a crucial role in helping the Londoners secure promotion to the Premier League last season but they've struggled for game time in the top-flight, particularly since Claudio Ranieri took over.

And, the report states that automatic promotion contenders Leeds, West Brom and Middlesbrough, along with Villa, are considering making moves for the players, who also have interest from abroad.

Norwegian international Johansen is a classy midfielder who played a key role alongside Tom Cairney and Kevin McDonald in the middle of the park last season.

Whereas Ayite and Kebano are wingers capable of playing from either flank.

It's not clear if the Premier League side are willing to let the players leave on loan or holding out for permanent transfers as they look to cut costs following a huge summer spending spree that has backfired so far.

The Verdict

You can understand why the Championship clubs mentioned are keen on these players as they all have quality.

As well as that, they're proven at this level and could make a real impact on a side that are chasing promotion.

It will be interesting to see how this develops over the next few days as clubs get more desperate to make the additions they need.
