Two Championship heavy-weights square up at Elland Road tomorrow lunchtime as second placed Leeds United face third placed Sheffield United in a battle that could go a long way to determine who achieves an automatic promotion spot.
Both sides have been built of a solid defensive back- line, with Pontus Jansson at Leeds and John Egan at Sheffield both enjoying superb seasons for their respective clubs.
But who would you rather have in your side Jansson or Egan?
“This is so tough.
“But, I think Jansson just about.
“The Swede is a real warrior at the back, but Egan is by no means a bad defender.”
“I like both, but in Egan I see even more potential, even more development scope.
“Jansson is there, at his peak, but there’s more to come from the Blade.”
“Both have undeniable quality and have been sensational for their sides this term.
“I think I would prefer Egan in my side as he just gets on with it and it’s all about the football.
“For me, Jansson loves the showmanship and bravado of being a Leeds player and plays up to it – and that is a sign of complacency at times.
“Egan is unassuming and effective – those are qualities I prefer.”
