It’s been a fine start to the season for Leeds United, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side looking to firmly establish themselves in the race for automatic promotion in the Championship.

Leeds have looked strong during the opening 16 fixtures of the season, but they need to press on in the coming weeks and take hold of the race for promotion.

Members of Bielsa’s squad have excelled, with Kemar Roofe amongst those.

Roofe has seven goals to his name this season, but has been ably assisted by the likes of Mateusz Klich and Pablo Hernandez from midfield.

The defensive side of Leeds’ game has also been good, with Barry Douglas and Kalvin Phillips amongst those to impress.

But, who are Leeds’ most valuable players?

We take a look at transfermarkt to identify the THREE most valuable assets at Elland Road…

Baker is on loan at Leeds from Chelsea and is valued at £4.95m by transfermarkt.

The midfielder has hardly featured under Bielsa, finding himself often unused on the bench.

Klich, Adam Forshaw and Samu Saiz are amongst those ahead of the loanee in the Elland Road pecking order.

Transfermarkt value Jansson at £5.4m, although you could certainly see his signature costing more.

Jansson is a key player at Elland Road and amongst the best centre-backs in the Championship.

Bamford is valued at £5.4m by transfermarkt, leaving him tied with Jansson as Leeds’ most valuable asset.

In the summer, Leeds paid a reported £7m for Bamford’s service, so you could again argue he’s worth more now.

We’ve not seen much of Bamford, though, with the striker currently sidelined with a long-term injury.
