AFC Bournemouth completed the signing of Bristol City full-back, Lloyd Kelly, which put an end to much speculation linked him with a move away from the Robins.

Kelly arrives with the Cherries with a point to prove, and he has a hefty price tag to justify, with the fee agreed between the two sides being in the region of £13m according to BBC Sport.

Leeds United defender, Tom Pearce took to Instagram to congratulate Kelly on his move to the Premier League ahead of next season.

Kelly will be hoping to make an instant impact ahead of next year's campaign, where he'll be hoping to become a regular starter in Eddie Howe's squad.

Whereas Pearce will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Kelly by forcing his way into the first-team in the near future, which will certainly be a tough ask for the youngster.

Marcelo Bielsa isn't going to be short of options at full-back next season, but if the youngster can impress in pre-season, then he could potentially be providing the Leeds boss with a welcome selection dilemma.

It's make or break for Pearce though, as his long-term future could lie elsewhere if he can't nail down a place in the Leeds first-team.

The Verdict:

He's a player with a bright future ahead of him.

Bournemouth have got a good history of bringing through and developing some excellent players in the past, and I really think that Kelly can be a key player for the Cherries ahead of next season.

A smart bit of business, that's for sure.
