Leeds United will have to pay £20 million if they are to complete the permanent signing of their on loan Manchester City winger Jack Harrison.

The 22-year-old has scored four goals and registered three assists in 42 appearances for the Elland Road side in all competitions, during a season on loan from the treble winners.

According to The Sun, Leeds are now keen to make Harrison's move permanent, but have been told that it will cost them £20 million to so.

With Leeds having missed out on a place in the Premier League following their dramatic play-off semi final defeat to Derby, that may now prove a difficult asking price to meet.

City however are not in a position where they need to compromise on a deal for Harrison, who has two years remaining on his contract at The Etihad, although he has yet to make an appearance for his parent club.

The verdict

This could be a difficult position for Leeds.

If they are to secure a permanent move for Harrison, it will surely take a large chunk out their transfer budget, meaning they now have a difficult decision to make as to whether or not they chose to move for Harrison or strengthen in other areas of the squad.

Given Harrison has struggled to fully convince in his performances, you feel Leeds may now be tempted to look elsewhere.
