It didn't come as a surprise to see Bailey Peacock-Farrell leaving Leeds United during the summer transfer window, with the Northern Irishman struggling for consistent game time since the arrival of Kiko Casilla.

Peacock-Farrell had previously been Marcelo Bielsa's first choice goalkeeper between the posts, but found regular minutes hard to come by since the Spaniard's arrival during the January transfer window.

But Peacock-Farrell made the somewhat surprising decision to move to Premier League side Burnley, despite Sean Dyche's side already having a number of strong options available to them this season.

Nick Pope is currently Burnley's first choice goalkeeper, and with Joe Hart being the number two, you have to feel as though Peacock-Farrell isn't going to be getting anywhere near the starting XI anytime soon.

He clearly wanted a move away from Leeds, but the Whites could be regretting letting him leave the club in the summer after a worrying report emerged recently.

Leeds' Kiko Casilla was charged by the FA for using abusive/insulting words towards a Charlton Athletic player during their clash at The Valley earlier this season.

That player is believed to be West Brom loanee Jonathan Leko, and although Casilla has appealed the charge, he could be facing a number of games on the sideline through suspension if found guilty.

If he was to be found guilty, then Leeds could have a real issue on their hands, with Illan Meslier being the only recognised senior option between the posts.

Meslier only moved to Elland Road during the summer, but is yet to make a single appearance for the Leeds first team, so supporters have every reason to question as to whether he is ready to fill the potential void left by Casilla.

If Casilla is to be suspended, then you have to feel as though Peacock-Farrell would almost certainly be starting for Leeds heading into the festive period, which could make or break their season.

But then again, the Northern Irishman was evidently unhappy at Elland Road, and if he had remained with the club, then he could have disrupted the atmosphere in the dressing room, which is the worst case scenario for any manager.

Leeds are in a strong enough position to cope without Casilla, but it isn't a surprise to see them already making plans to sign another goalkeeper in the near future, with David Stockdale being linked with a move to Elland Road (according to the Sunday People, 17/12, page 50).

The Whites will certainly have a hint of regret with letting Peacock-Farrell leave the club in the summer, especially given that they could be facing a number of games without their first choice goalkeeper in Kiko Casilla heading into a crucial period of this year's campaign.
