Leeds United, Fulham and West Ham United have Rangers defender Connor Goldson on their transfer radar, according to reports from Football Insider.

The defender has been an influential player for Rangers this season, making an impressive 51 appearances across all competitions and helping Gers finish second in the SPFL table.

Goldson has recently been hailed by Rangers boss Steven Gerrard, who has recently credited his "consistency" throughout the season and his determination to work hard in training.

With only two years left on his deal at Ibrox, though, Rangers feel as if they need to tie Goldson down to a new deal, having previously valued him at a price of £6m.

Leeds United, West Ham and Fulham are said to be interested in signing the towering centre-half, who is likely to be in-demand after what has been a standout campaign thus far.

Leeds will be wanting to strengthen their defensive options this summer should they reach the Premier League, with loan star Ben White's future at Elland Road up in the air.

The Verdict

Goldson is a leader and has been superb for Rangers this season, and he's likely to attract interest in the summer with plenty of clubs bound to be after him.

He's at a decent age and particularly a side like Leeds could benefit from his arrival if Ben White leaves.

They will need to replace White with a leader to play alongside Liam Cooper, and whilst he may not be as good with the ball at his feet, Goldson would still be a solid addition for the Whites.
