Derby County have set an asking-price of £10 million for teenage sensation Louie Sibley, according to Football Insider.

The 19-year-old made his Rams debut during an EFL Cup tie at Scunthorpe United last August, but properly announced himself by scoring a stunning goal against Blackburn Rovers just prior to the suspension of the Championship in March.

Sibley then produced the best performance of his short career during Derby's next league outings - netting a hat-trick in a clinical display of finishing in their 3-2 win over Millwall at The Den.

The Insider claimed on Monday that Leeds United were aiming to complete a deal for the midfielder before Friday's domestic deadline.

And now they believe that the Rams are demanding at least £10 million for the talented Derby Academy product, who scored five times in only 17 appearances in all competitions last term.

Do you remember which club Derby County signed these 15 players from?

Sibley can play in a number of different positions, and the Premier League new boys are looking to make the youngster their 14th signing of an already extremely productive summer window.

The Verdict

Norwich's Todd Cantwell appeared Leeds' top central attacking target, but having appeared to miss out on the midfielder, they've turned their attention to Sibley.

Whether or not Premier League football would be a step too soon for Sibley remains to be seen, but having watched him against Millwall at The Den, there's no doubting his ability.

Perhaps another year in the Championship would be more beneficial, but you couldn't blame him at jumping at the chances to join Leeds if it arises.
