Leeds United remain interested in Swansea City winger Daniel James and could try to sign him again during the summer transfer window, according to the Mirror

A January deal for the winger fell through at the last moment on transfer deadline day, leaving Marcelo Bielsa without his number one attacking target, but remains interested in bringing the 21-year-old in.

James will have just 12 months remaining on his deal at the Liberty Stadium at the end of the season and the Swans could be tempted to cash in on him.

The Mirror report that a deal for the winger fell through as the clubs could not agree on how the £1.5million loan fee would be paid for his services.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Kiko Casilla ended up as the Whites' only signing of the January window as Bielsa looks to take the club back into the Premier League for the first time in 15 years.

The verdict

I think this is smart.

As much as James would have helped the Whites this season, he is still only 21 and has more than enough potential to make it in the top-flight.

He would arrive for a much lower fee than he would have done in January as well.
