Bristol City midfielder Josh Brownhill is a target for both Leeds United and Derby County, according to a report by TeamTalk.

The 21-year-old midfielder has been in impressive form for the Robins this season, but is not tied down to a lengthy or lucrative contract at Ashton Gate, and both Leeds and the Rams are looking to swoop for the midfielder in January.

Browhill has become one of the star men among at Bristol City side who are making a surprise push for promotion to the Premier League under Lee Johnson, and his loss would represent a huge blow to them sh0uld Leeds or Derby have a bid accepted.

The January window is bound to see some movement in the Championship, and both Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen and Rams manager Gary Rowett have been impressed with Brownhill's form this season, continuing the impressive form he has shown previously for both Preston North End and Barnsley.

Any move for Brownhill would need to be made sharpish though, with City reportedly trying to extend his contract beyond the summer and activate a 12 month extension clause at the very least as they seek to tie him down to a long term deal.
