Championship promotion chasers Leeds United are looking into signing Liverpool winger Harry Wilson in the summer, if they are promoted.

The young winger has been in fine form for Derby County this term in an impressive loan spell in the East Midlands, but according to the Sun on Sunday (print edition, Sunday 3rd March 2019), Wilson is already being eyed up ahead of next season by Marcelo Bielsa.

Wilson has knocked in the goals for the Rams this term and has become known for scoring the spectacular, with his deadball skills catching the eye on more than one occasion.

A dip in recent form though has seen Frank Lampard put Wilson to the bench, but this does not appear to have deterred Leeds, who are seemingly planning for life in the top flight as best they can by identifying players like Wilson as potential signings.

The Welsh star is highly regarded at Anfield but he will be well aware that the reality is that he faces an uphill task in getting some first team football under his belt under Jurgen Klopp.

The Verdict

This would be a fine signing for Leeds regardless of promotion or not, and he'd fit right into the playing style of Bielsa.

Wilson has proved to be a class act on his day and he'd thrive at Leeds one would assume.

If Leeds do go up, then signings like Wilson will be key to them staying their.
