Both Huffer and Miazek have featured in and around first team matters this season thanks to goalkeeping woes which began with a season ending injury to Jamal Blackman, beofre Bailey Peacock-Farrell dropped a number of clangers.

The Whites moved to sign experienced Spanish stopper Kiko Casilla in January, and also Casilla was solid enough, he saved his worst for the most crucial moment of the season against Derby the other night as the Yorkshire club crashed out of the play-offs.

Huffer and Miazek will be hoping to improve further over the summer and push into the first-team picture next season, which remains unclear as Marcelo Bielsa's future remains unresolved.

Among the retained list are three youngsters who have seen their time with the club come to an end, as Joshua Rae, Lucas Odunston and Alex Wollerton will all be looking for new clubs.

The Verdict

Smart move this from Leeds it has to be said, and smart move too in ensuring no first team regulars were out of contract.

Huffer has a bright future while Miazek will need to start playing soon to get experience given he is now 22.

Leeds have a good future ahead though, and there's no doubt Huffer and Miazek can be a part of it with the right guidance.
