Leeds United managing director Angus Kinnear has spoken highly of new manager Marcelo Bielsa, insisting that the signing of Lewis Baker from Chelsea would not have happened had it not been for Bielsa.

In a report on Leeds Live, Kinnear praised his new manager, but said that things are moving slow this summer due to the World Cup in response to the concerns from some fans that they have not yet seen the influx of players many expected at Elland Road.

Kinnear though says he expects things to keep moving and said the club are working hard behind the scenes to complete new signings for their new manager.

Bielsa is a big name in world football, and Leeds will be hoping the example of Baker joining will be a sign of things to come at the club under the Argentine.

The Whites are expected to make some big moves in the coming weeks as they prepare for a run at promotion next season. The likes of Matej Vydra and Abel Hernandez have been linked with moves to Elland Road of late, but as yet there is no sign of either player completing a deal as yet.

Kinnear will be hoping to complete some more deals in the coming weeks, and confirmed in the report that things are 'under control' and that targets have been identified early.

Leeds fans, what do you think? Can Bielsa help you lure in some targets? Let us know in the comments!
