Leeds United have stepped up their interest in Cheltenham Town striker Mo Eisa, with the club reportedly making a verbal offer for the 23-year-old.

According to Gloucester Live, the Whites have come in with an offer for the striker, who has smashed in 23 goals this season, but it is believed that the opening offer from the Yorkshire club falls well below the £1.5m asking price that Cheltenham have.

Eisa, who has impressed this season and has been attracting the attention of a whole host of Premier League onlookers, is expected to move on this summer with the club looking to cash in on their most valuable asset and get some money in through the door while the iron is still hot.

Hailing from Sudan, Eisa only moved into the professional ranks this season after a spell with Greenwich Borough previously. However, his transition into the professional ranks has been seemless, and he looks well on his way to forging out an excellent career in the Championship and above.

Leeds are looking to add new players to their squad this summer following a poor season in the Championship saw them stumble to a mid-table finish.
