Leeds are eyeing a move for Ayite

The Championship club look set to challenge French side SC Bastia's resolve, with the player only joining the club last summer.

Ayite is said to be the last piece of the puzzle for Leeds head coach Uwe Rosler, who is said to desperate for some width and pace to add to his squad, having bolstered his squad options in every other position throughout this summer.

Leeds have seen a successful summer in the transfer window so far, having signed six players in vital positions. Charlie Horton and Ross Turnbull came in for goalkeeping backup, Sol Bamba joined the club on a permanent basis to keep his centre back position. Recent signing Tom Adeyemi has come in on loan from Cardiff City to take up the vacant holding midfield role, and forwards Lee Erwin and Chris Wood have joined the club to fix a very goal shy strike force at Elland Road.

Ayite could now become a marquee signing for Leeds United if the club can snare him away from Ligue 1 to join the second tier of English football, which would be a statement of intent for the upcoming season.

The 26-year old is known for his demon pace and ability to come inside and score goals, having scored nine goals and creating three assists in 33 appearances for Bastia in his first season for the club.

This is the second winger to be linked with Leeds in two days after news came in that the club have expressed their interest in Brazilian winger Raphael Martinho, who currently plays for Italian side Hellas Verona.
