As Uwe Rosler looks ahead to pre-season, Leeds' new head coach could be set to carry on the clubs recruitment process of acquiring players from the Italian leagues, a move that was instigated last season by owner Massimo Cellino.

Reports suggest that recently departed friend and colleague of Cellino's, Nicola Salerno, was scouting the Juve Stabia defender before leaving his role this month to join Watford.

Migliorini looks set to leave Juve Stabia this summer in search of a new challenge, with plenty of Serie B sides looking into his availability. Recently promoted Serie A side Carpi look set to begin negotiations with the club, having reached the Italian top-flight for the first time in their history.

A fee of around €700k (£500,000) is said to be enough to take the 23-year old star defender, who stands at an impressive 6'4. Juve Stabia's hand has been forced to agree to a sale after the player has reiterated his desire to leave with only 12 months left on his contract.

A move for Migliorini would see Leeds sign a second defender from Italy this summer, having already made Sol Bamba's loan move permanent. Although Bamba's loan from Italy was a big success, the club have struggled to gain form from a number of Italian signings made last summer, with some players being unable to grasp the Championship's physicality.

A move for Migliorini would see the Italian join up with fellow defensive compatriot Bellusci, along with Bamba and Cooper to create a selection crisis for new boss Rosler.
