Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has praised manager Marcelo Bielsa for making the club take more risks this season, reports Interia Sport via Leeds Live

The Whites impressive form this season has largely been credited the arrival of the Argentinian, and Klich has added to that credit himself.

"He is one of a kind and I have not seen a coach who would live football like him," the Poland international said.

"He even encourages us because he thinks that without risk it is impossible to play football at the highest level.

“The best teams in the world are constantly taking risks, but they make few mistakes."

Klich is somebody who has personally benefited a lot from the arrival of Bielsa.

Signed last summer, he found himself out on loan for the second half of the season and his Whites career looked like it would be coming to an early end.

But this season he has bounced back emphatically under the new manager, scoring five goals and assisting five in 16 league games.

Leeds currently sit in third place in the Championship table with 17 matches played, just one point behind second-placed Middlesbrough and three behind table-toppers Norwich City.

However, they were thrashed 4-1 by West Bromwich Albion last time out to give everyone at the club a much-needed wake-up call.

The verdict

Everything Klich said here has been hugely evident in the Whites' style of play this season.

The passing out from the back is something you would never imagine a Leeds side of the last four or five years even attempting, but they have mastered it under Bielsa.

Everything seems to fit perfectly together at the moment.
