The Championship is back this weekend and Leeds United are looking to rediscover some form with a game against Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

The men from Elland Road certainly started this season well but things have gone south rather sharply in recent weeks and fans are beginning to wonder just what this season is going to give them come the end of it. Certainly a game against the high-flying Robins probably isn't too high up on their list of matches they want to see up next but if they can pull it off then they'll surely be able to build something from that.

From the noises coming out the club, the players seem well-aware that they have let their standards slip and that that needs to be addressed ASAP - which is obviously a good thing - but some of the Whites' stars aren't exactly filling fans with confidence, with Liam Cooper making this rather worrying confession - as per Phil Hay on Twitter:

Cooper has been speaking prior to the game this weekend and suggesting the players are tired is not an ideal course of action. An international break has only just passed and it's still only October so this kind of excuse is surely going to worry Whites fans.

The Verdict

As captain, Cooper should have said something else when it came round to this topic.

Players can feel tired, no-one has a problem with that but you would imagine that that isn't an issue as much at this point of the season. Surely, tiredness will only increase for the rest of the campaign and that might not bode well for the Whites.
