Pontus Jansson has apologised to Leeds United fans on Twitter after his side were humbled by Brentford on Tuesday night.
Promotion chasing Leeds United travelled to Griffin Park to take on mid-table Brentford last night but first half goals from Romaine Sawyers and Lasse Vibe ensured the Londoners finished the game as 2-0 winners.
This put Leeds United’s play-off hopes in partial doubt as their gap over 7th place was cut to 5 points, with six games left to play.
Leeds United fans’ favourite Pontus Jansson was recalled to the starting line-up after Liam Cooper was handed a six game ban for stamping on Reading’s Reece Oxford.
However, the powerful Swede could not prevent a 2-0 loss and he apologised to fans after the game.
Not much more to say than sorry for our performance yesterday. But there is no other way than to bounce back on saturday!

The centre half also added a positive note to his message, saying that Leeds will bounce back on Saturday (when they play Preston) and this will be the perfect revenge after two losses in four days.
