Leeds United continued their excellent start to the season with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Ipswich Town at Elland Road.

It wasn't their most convincing performance of the season but the side showed character to bounce back after a poor showing at Millwall last time out in the league.

Victory keeps the Whites top on goal difference after Wolves and Cardiff both secured three points on Saturday too.

Ezgjan Alioski played the full game on Saturday and took to Twitter to praise his team-mates for their fighting spirit.

The Macedonian has been a revelation since joining and has been a key part of the quality attacking play that Thomas Christiansen's side produce.

The Yorkshire club are the top scorers in the league and have notched an amazing ten goals in their last three league games at home.

As Alioski points out in his tweet, next up is a trip to Wales to take on Cardiff in what should be an exciting fixture.

Neil Warnock's side are flying and it gives both sides the chance to send a message to the rest of the league.

The Verdict

Leeds weren't at their free-flowing best on Saturday but still scored three, and still won, which is clearly a massive credit to the side.

They've also bounced back from their first setback in style with Carabao Cup success in the week too, so they clearly do have a strong spirit.

With a massive game coming up tomorrow, Leeds will have to display all their quality and togetherness to leave with what could be a huge three points.
