It has been a busy week to be a Leeds United player, supporter and member of staff, with just over three weeks to go until the Whites kick off their Championship campaign against Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

Last week saw Marcelo Bielsa beginning to add fresh faces to his squad, with Jack Harrison, Ben White, Jack Clarke and Helder Costa all arriving on loan for the season - the latter’s move to Elland Road from Wolves will be made permanent next year.

But the Whites had to say quite a shocking goodbye to one of their most important players, with Swedish defender Pontus Jansson completing a somewhat surprising move to fellow Championship side Brentford.

With speculation continuing to link both Kemar Roofe and Kalvin Phillips with a move away from the club this summer, it looks as if it will be a busy couple of weeks for the club, with the start of the Championship campaign creeping ever closer.

Nevertheless, Bielsa has been putting his side through their paces as they look to go one step further in their quest for Premier League football next season.

Here, we take a look at how the players are preparing for the new season on social media...

Leeds began their pre-season schedule with a 5-0 thumping over local side York City on Wednesday night.

Bielsa fielded a strong team to face the National League North side, with Pablo Hernandez, Kemar Roofe, Adam Forshaw and Jack Harrison all getting on the scoresheet at Bootham Crescent.

There was a chance for plenty of youngsters to impress Bielsa, too, with new signing Rafa Mujica making his first appearance in a Leeds shirt following his move from Barcelona.

The Spanish forward came on for the last 30 minutes, and took to Instagram after the game to express his delight at playing his first game.

Jack Harrison

Harrison really caught the eye on Wednesday night, scoring two goals in Leeds' first pre-season outing.

The Manchester City winger flattered to deceive at times last season, but if his performance on Wednesday is anything to go by, he looks much, much sharper heading into the new season.

The 22-year-old put a montage of match photos on his Instagram, after his impressive display.

Kemar Roofe

He may have been linked with a move to Rangers in recent times, but Roofe gave a timely reminder of what Leeds would be missing out on if they let him leave for Ibrox this summer.

The striker got on the scoresheet on Wednesday evening, and he will be hoping to carry this form into the league campaign, and hit the 20-goal mark after netting 15 times last term.

Kiko Casilla

Casilla was back in between the sticks, and had a much better game than the last time he played in a Leeds United shirt, gifting Jack Marriott and Derby County with an opening back into the Championship play-off semi-finals.

The Spaniard didn't have a great deal to do on Wednesday night, but will look to keep impressing Bielsa ahead of the start of the new campaign.

He posted a picture of himself in action, sporting the brand new Leeds United goalkeeping shirt. With Bailey Peacock-Farrell set to play against Guiseley on Thursday night, the fight for the number one jersey is on.
