It is looking ever more likely that Leeds United’s star striker Chris Wood will be leaving the club before the transfer window closes.

The Championship’s top scorer with 27 goals during the 2016/17 campaign, Wood has attracted a lot of interest from Premier League clubs this summer.

If Leeds are ever going to get back into the big time then they will need to find a suitable replacement with Thomas Christiansen already looking at a possible loan deal for Hamburg forward Pierre-Michel Lasogga.

Whilst that could prove to be a good signing for the Peacock’s, here at FLW we believe that Christiansen should turn the Ross McCormack rumours into reality.

It is no secret that Ross McCormack hasn’t had the best of times at Aston Villa since his £12 million move last year.

For whatever reason, the Scot failed to repeat the same form he had shown at Fulham and Leeds in previous years and ended the season on loan at Nottingham Forest scoring just once for them.

It’s not unusual for players to not settle in at a new club but McCormack has a history with Leeds.

Playing for them from 2010 until 2014, the 30-year-old managed 58 goals in 157 games whilst contributing 31 assists too.

The Leeds fans love him and given his terrible form since joining Villa, Christiansen would probably be able to get him at a cut-price.

The 2016/17 season was just a blip on the radar for the veteran striker and if he was to join Leeds, McCormack would bring plenty of experience and plenty of goals.
