Although Leeds United's season came to a disappointing end after slipping out of the play-offs, the transformation undertaken this season has shown that Leeds United have grown from a mid-table side to one challenging for promotion.

In the summer, if Leeds United can keep hold of Garry Monk and the vast majority of the squad, the West Yorkshire giants will be in a strong position to challenge for promotion once again.

However, as well as maintaining the current set-up, Leeds United would also need to look to add more strength and depth to an already strong squad.

One player who could add much needed dynamism and directness to Leeds United's forward line is Leicester City forward Tom Lawrence.

The Welsh international has spent the season on loan at Ipswich Town where has proved to be a revelation with nine goals and eleven assists from the advanced midfield role.

As well as the sheer amount of goals that Tom Lawrence has scored for a struggling Ipswich Town side, the calibre of the goals which has included some incredible solo runs and long-range strikes shows that the 23-year-old second striker would have a lot to offer for Leeds United.

With Leicester City likely to allow Tom Lawrence to leave in the summer on a permanent basis, Leeds United should move for the prolific Welshman who could prove to make all the difference in their pursuit of a return to the Premier League.
