Leeds United ended their season with a 2-0 victory against Queens Park Rangers last weekend. While it was a positive result, it masked the troubles that are prevalent at Elland Road.

The Whites have scored a measly 59 goals this season, with Kemar Roofe ending the season as top goal scorer with 14 to his name. Finding the net has been an issue all throughout this campaign, and signing Barnsley striker Tom Bradshaw could change that.

Despite being relegated to League One with the Tykes this season, Bradshaw netted 12 times in his 44 appearances, claiming their golden boot award, showing he has what it takes to play up top at Championship level.

The 25-year-old has one year left on his contract at Oakwell, but would undoubtedly be interested in a move which could see him play Championship football for another season.

While Bradshaw’s goal tally isn’t huge, it is his dominance in the final third that would make him appealing to Leeds United. Standing over six feet tall, the former Walsall front man has what it takes to set Elland Road alight next season.

Bradshaw has represented his nation of Wales at international level on three occasions, making his debut in March 2016, replacing Tom Lawrence, now of Derby County, as a substitute in a 1-0 friendly loss to Ukraine. And, with a strong enough campaign at Elland Road, could see him back in with a shout for an international call up to Ryan Giggs’ side.

Paul Heckingbottom’s side are in need of a vast overhaul of players in this transfer window, and bringing in young talented forwards, like Bradshaw, could see them finally make it back to the big time.

Barnsley, despite only missing out on survival by two points, aren’t as strong a team as the Peacocks. With the service the United midfield can provide, Bradshaw can prosper as a player and maybe just bring back some glory to the Leeds United faithful.
