Harry Wilson has been a sensation for Derby County in the Championship this season.

The 22-year-old has developed into one of the stand-out players in the second tier, since arriving at Pride Park on a season-long loan move from Liverpool.

The winger has enjoyed an outstanding season and is the Rams' top scorer with an impressive 14 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions.

The Derby Telegraph reported yesterday that Frank Lampard is keen for the player to remain at Pride Park next season and this is not at all surprising given his eye-catching displays this campaign. The Rams are likely to face competition for the winger though, with Football Insider reporting today that Championship rivals Leeds United have their sights set on the player.

Marcelo Bielsa is looking to considerably strengthen his squad in the transfer market this summer, as his side continue to push for promotion to the Premier League this season.

The Liverpool Echo reported last month that the Reds are unlikely to want to sell the player and would instead prefer him to spend next season on loan at a rival Premier League club.

Therefore, if the Whites can clinch promotion to the top flight, a move to Elland Road this summer would make perfect sense for Wilson and both clubs involved.

Leeds would obviously be getting an exciting and talented young player who already has so much potential and would seemingly suit Bielsa's fast-paced, high-energy style of attacking football.

Not only that, but it would send a big statement of intent to the rest of the Premier League and show that Leeds are back and mean business.

The move would also benefit Wilson, as it would give him a chance to prove himself against top flight opposition on a weekly basis and would allow him to realise his full potential.

Of course, for any potential transfer to happen, Leeds would probably have to offload a player in the summer and one who immediately stands out is Stuart Dallas.

The 27-year-old has started just eight Championship matches this season and with The Express reporting last month that the winger is unhappy with the lack of game time he has had under Bielsa this season.

Dallas has just over a year left on his current deal at Elland Road and at this stage of his career, it is important for him to be playing regular first-team football.

He may not even be in Bielsa’s plans for next season and perhaps Leeds should sell the Northern Ireland international to make way for Wilson.

For now, Bielsa should be focused on securing Leeds' return to the Premier League after a 15-year absence, but once the season is over, he should make signing Wilson one of his biggest priorities for the summer.
