Despite a drop-off towards the end of the season which saw Leeds United miss out on a play-off place, this season Garry Monk's side have shown that they are more than capable of competing for promotion.

However, despite the visible progress which has been undertaken this season, in the summer, Garry Monk will be looking to continue to continue to move forward by strengthening the squad with further strength and depth.

One area that Garry Monk may look to address is his forward line, whilst Chris Wood has been a revelation for Leeds United this season with 2 goals and four assists in 44 Championship appearances, the supporting cast of Souleymane Doukara and Marcus Antonsson have failed to deliver.

Garry Monk may fear that there is an over-reliance on the former Leicester City striker and an injury at some stage next season could leave Leeds United short of firepower.

In the summer, Garry Monk may look to bring in a quality back-up striker to provide Chris Wood with suitable cover and also offer him some competition for a place in the starting line-up.

One player who may be of interest to Leeds United is Crystal Palace's 29-year-old striker Fraizer Campbell, the West Yorkshire-born striker has struggled for opportunities this season, having failed to make a single league start for Palace.

With Fraizer Campbell's contract set to expire at the end of May, a return to West Yorkshire is now a genuine possibility.

It would provide Fraizer Campbell the opportunity to re-ignite his career whilst also potentially providing Leeds United with the firepower needed to gain promotion to the Premier League.

Leeds United fans, would you like to see Fraizer Campbell join Leeds? What role do you think he would have in the squad? Is a back-up to Chris Wood needed or should Garry Monk focus on strengthening other areas? Let us hear your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!
