Sleeping giants Leeds United look to be slowly awakening under the guidance of former Swansea man Garry Monk, who has led them to a positive start so far in this Sky Bet Championship campaign.

Leeds currently find themselves sitting in 9th place in the Championship table after picking up seven wins from the opening fifteen league games and we see no reason why the Whites can't be in the mix for a playoff spot come the end of the season.

They are only one point off the play-offs at the moment and in good form too.

It has been far too long since the Leeds United faithful experienced the thrills of the top flight and it is clear that Monk is determined to take the club back to where they belong.

There is an abundance of talent currently knocking around in the top Premier League clubs' reserve and youth teams and this is a market that football league clubs should definitely look to profit from.

The January window is notorious for bad value so loan deals could be the way forward.

This article is going to take a look at two talents that Leeds should look to pluck from Liverpool in January...

Sheyi Ojo

One player Leeds United should definitely look into taking from Liverpool is exciting talent Sheyi Ojo, who is likely to be made available for a loan move in January to allow him to grow and develop as a player.

The 19-year-old is rated extremely highly by all at Anfield and is already into double figures in terms of appearances for the senior team, with eight of those actually coming in the Premier League.

He even has a Liverpool goal to his name which came in an FA Cup tie against Exeter.

He is however no stranger to the Championship after spending time on loan at both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic.

Ojo’s potential has been recognised at international level by England for whom he has been capped at under-16, 17, 18, and 19 level.

Cameron Brannagan

Another talent currently on the books at Liverpool that Leeds should take a closer look at it is Cameron Brannagan, who is highly rated by all at Anfield.

Brannagan has been at the club since the age of 5 and has made 9 first team appearances for the club, 3 of which have come in the Premier League and also 2 appearances have come in the Europa League.

He is a midfielder with great creative and technical ability who can play in either a deep role or more forward role just behind the striker.
He is a player who can dictate the tempo of play and possesses a great passing range and vision.
Brannagan would add extra strength in depth to this Leeds United squad and could prove to be an astute signing by gaffer Garry Monk.
