Leeds United are set to swoop for Everton's 19-year-old defender Matt Pennington on a season-long loan deal, according to the Daily Mail.

The highly-rated defender who can be utilised as a right-back or as a centre-back looks set to leave Goodison Park on loan before the deadline tonight.

Pennington spent time on loan at Tranmere Rovers last season, however Everton want to see how the defender would manage in the second tier of English football this season.
