Cheltenham Town striker Mo Eisa will be watched by Leeds United in his final game of the season, according to Gloucestershire Live.

Leeds, along with four Premier League clubs, will send scouts to run the rule over Eisa after the striker has enjoyed a red hot season in front of goal.

The 23-year-old has struck 25 goals this season, including 23 in the league.

This ranks him as the second top scorer in the league - joint with Coventry City's Marc McNulty - and two behind Accrington Stanley forward Billy Kee in the race for the golden boot.

Cheltenham are expecting to lose their star man this summer, given the widespread interest in his signature, and he is likely to play his last game for the club against Crewe.

But the Robins will be holding out for more than £1m for the young striker, who joined the club from non-league outfit Greenwich Borough.

Leeds are one of the clubs interested in signing Eisa as they search for a new striker.

Last summer's recruitment drive saw them snap up Pierre-Michel Lasogga, Caleb Ekuban and Jay-Roy Grot but they have only managed 13 goals between them - 10 of which came for Lasogga before the end of February.

Leeds and four Premier League sides will now be present at Gresty Road on Saturday to watch Eisa as Cheltenham visit Crewe Alexandra.

The Verdict

Leeds desperately need a 20-goal striker to replace Chris Wood and fire them to promotion. Last summer, they failed to replace the New Zealander and this year, they need to recruit more wisely. While it is advisable for Leeds to look at domestic players, I do not believe Eisa is the immediate fix they need as it is a huge step up from League 2 to the Championship.
