Leeds United have placed a bid for Guingamp’s talented winger Yannis Salibur according to the French publication, L’Equipe.
Following interest in Hadi Sacko from Sporting Lisbon, it appears that Garry Monk is looking to bring another Frenchman to the club, this time, Guingamp’s Yannis Salibur.
The former French Under-19 international was one of Guingamp’s stand out performers in Ligue 1 last season making thirty appearances and providing six goals and seven assists.
As well as Salibur’s impressive performances in the league, the 25-year-old winger also scored in France’s domestic competitions Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue.
It is apparent that Monk is reportedly keen on the winger and Leeds have made a bid to attract the winger to make the move to England.
However, the main sticking point appears to be that Salibur is unwilling to drop down to England’s second division and play in the Championship.
If Garry Monk can convince the winger that Leeds United is on the up then we may see Salibur at Leeds United next season.
