Wigan Athletic winger James McClean looks set to be on his way to the MLS this summer, reports the Belfast Telegraph.
It is understood that the Republic of Ireland international has been in the States meeting officials of MLS side New York Red Bulls over a possible transfer to the Red Bull Arena.
If a deal to the Red Bulls falls through, new franchise Orlando City are reportedly prepared to swoop for the 26-year-old.
His wages could be a stumbling block as it is believed that McClean is one of the highest earners at the DW Stadium and has a year left on his current deal.
However, New York Red Bulls are prepared to pay fee that is close to the £1.2 million it cost Wigan to sign him from Premier League side Sunderland in August 2013.
McClean wants to leave Wigan because he fears that playing in League One would affect his international career.
The Irishman had been linked with a move to Leeds United and Newcastle United but now appears that is on his way to the USA.
