Leeds United have announced on the club’s official website┬áthat their chief executive Ben Mansford is set to step down from his role.

Chief executive Ben Mansford will leave Leeds United as Andrea Radrizzani edges closer to completing a complete stake in the club.

Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani currently owns a fifty per cent stake in Leeds United after arranging a deal with his controversial fellow countryman Massimo Cellino earlier in the season.

Cellino is expected to sell his half of the club to Radrizzani to allow his Italian colleague to complete his full takeover of Leeds United.

Major change is expected over the next few weeks at Elland Road and it looks like it is starting to come into effect already with the chief executive of the club stepping down.

Formerly of Barnsley, Mansford has played a key role in Leeds’ success this season but and will leave at the end of the month with his replacement to be named “in the coming days”.
