Leeds United set to announce signing of fellow Championship fullback

Published

on

Leeds United are set to seal the signing of Bristol City defender Luke Ayling, according to Phil Hay on Twitter.

The versatile full back who can also play at centre half, is set to sign a 3-year deal with the West Yorkshire club, following on from two-years with the Robins.

Ayling joined Bristol from Yeovil in 2014, following an impressive season in which Yeovil reached the League One playoff final and beat Brentford to send the club into the Championship for the first time in their history.

Garry Monk has added plenty of new faces to his squad over the summer, and Ayling will be a welcome addition following the injury to Gaetano Beradi on the opening day of the season.

The Elland Road outfit were hammered 3-0 by a resurgent QPR team at Loftus Road, and Monk has acted quickly to address certain issues he clearly still feels are hampering his teams progress.

Leeds fans, what do you think to this? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
