Leeds United set for summer swoop for 21-year-old

High flying Sky Bet Championship side Leeds United are set to address a critical position in the summer with the arrival of Partick Thistle centre half Liam Lindsay, according to respected journalist Alan Nixon.

The 21-year-old defender has been a mainstay at the heart of Partick Thistle’s defence this season.

Lindsay has made twenty appearances in the Scottish Premiership this year.

The talented defender has been linked with a move to the West Yorkshire side in the current winter transfer window as Garry Monk looks to add depth to the centre half position.

Swedish centre half Pontus Jansson and Kyle Bartley have proven to be a very strong partnership, however, both defenders are currently on loan at the Sky Bet Championship club.

The arrival of Liam Lindsay would provide further cover and a long-term solution to the centre half position which in the past has caused Leeds United problems.

However, it has now emerged that Lindsay’s switch from Partick Thistle to Leeds United is likely to happen in the summer rather than in this transfer window.

Leeds United fans, what do you make of the news? Would you like to see Liam Lindsay join Leeds United? Is he the calibre of signing Leeds United should be making? Do you think he’d be a success at the West Yorkshire club? Do you expect this transfer to happen? Let us hear your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!
