Leeds United have been handed a selection boost ahead of the weekend's clash with Fulham.

Liam Cooper has been struggling with a calf strain of late meaning that he's missed the last three fixtures for Marcelo Bielsa's side.

That includes Saturday's dramatic 3-3 draw with Cardiff City.

But with another huge clash coming up this weekend, the Whites have been boosted by the news that the skipper is set to return.

The news was revealed by Leeds Live editor Joe Mewis who took to social media to share the positive news.

He Tweeted: "Spoke to Liam Cooper who said he is available for selection on Saturday at Fulham. He'll be taking part in this afternoon's Murderball session."

The news of Cooper's return will be a massive boost to Marcelo Bielsa's side who will be keen to get back to winning ways against promotion contenders Fulham.

The verdict

Liam Cooper's imminent return is a real boost for Leeds United.

The hope will be that his level of influence will help the Whites get back to winning ways against a dangerous Fulham side.
