Leeds United are considering a bid for Florian Jozefzoon with Brentford willing to cash in on the winger, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post.

Brentford are ready to sell Jozefzoon this summer as he enters the final year of his contract with Leeds one of the clubs weighing up a bid.

Leeds face competition from West Bromwich Albion and Derby County for the Dutchman, though, who contributed with seven goals and seven assists for Brentford last season.

Derby are thought to be less interested now, however, after landing winger Harry Wilson on loan from Liverpool and attacking midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea.

But West Brom could make a move with current wingers Nacer Chadli and Matty Phillips attracting attention from elsewhere.

Brentford have accepted a bid from an unnamed club for the former PSV Eindhoven winger with Leeds, Derby and West Brom the names mentioned in relation to him.

The 27-year-old joined Brentford in January 2017 but now looks set to move away from Griffin Park as interest in his signature mounts.

The Verdict

Perhaps Jozefzoon is the sort of signing Leeds should be aiming for.

He offers pace, skill and the ability to score goals and lay on chances for team-mates.

Leeds currently have a threadbare squad so Jozefzoon provides decent depth to their current options.
