Leeds United are set to let Bailey Peacock-Farrell leave Elland Road on-loan this summer, but plan to extend the goalkeeper’s contract before doing so, reports the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Peacock-Farrell has 12-months remaining on his contract at Elland Road, but Leeds are keen to extend that deal before sending him out on-loan for the 2017/18 campaign, where they hope he will earn some valuable first-team experience.

The 20-year old goalkeeper has made just one senior appearance for Leeds, which came under Steve Evans back in April 2016 and he is likely to find his opportunities limited with three senior goalkeepers now at Elland Road.

Oldham Athletic are interested in taking Peacock-Farrell on-loan this summer, and the League One club are currently leading the race to sign the talented goalkeeper, who could leave Elland Road within the next 24-hours.

Rob Green, Marco Silvestri and Leeds’ latest recruit, Felix Wiedwald, all remain on the books at Elland Road, with it yet to be seen who Thomas Christiansen puts his faith in next season.

Green featured in every Championship fixture for Leeds last season, but the 38-year old is reportedly attracting interest from Sunderland and Middlesbrough, who are monitoring the goalkeeper’s situation following Wiedwald’s arrival.
