Leeds United plotting loan move for Premier League defender

Leeds United want to sign Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley on loan, according to reports via Wales Online.
The centre-back, who has fallen down the pecking order at the Swans, last appeared in the shock 3-2 defeat to Oxford United in the FA Cup third round last month.
It is believed that the Welshman is frustrated with his lack of first team opportunities with Francesco Guidolin’s side, and wants to have a loan spell in the second tier to regain fitness and form – Swansea have conceded nine goals in the 374 minutes he has been on the pitch in all competitions this season.
The 2015-16 season is a disappointing one for the Welsh side, ex-player Garry Monk was sacked back in 2015 and they find themselves in a relegation battle in the Premier League.
Bartley is an experienced player for someone just 24-years old, after coming through the Arsenal youth setup he had loan spells at Sheffield United and Rangers before he signed for the Swans.
However, he has only made 16 appearances for the Welsh giants, though one of those seasons was spent on loan with Birmingham City.
He has also made appearances at Under 16 and Under 17 level for England.
Leeds United sit in 14th place in the Championship, having amassed 36 points so far.
