Leeds United are reportedly eyeing a deal to sign Serie A outfit Palermo's teenage keeper Fabrizio Alastra, according to Mediagol.

The talented young keeper was signed by Palermo from Trapani in 2014, and since has made 2 appearances for the first team.

Now, The Whites are said to be looking at the 18-year old as a possible replacement for the slightly error-prone Marco Silvestri, who hasn't developed as some had hoped at Elland Road.

Garry Monk has expressed interest in the youngster, so clearly believes that the step up wont be too much for the teenager.

However, Alastra has conceded 6 times in his 126 minutes on the field, including 5 goals in a 5-0 thrashing by Serie A Roma last season.

Palermo's number 53 would most likely play back up to either the aforementioned Italian or Ross Turnbull next season should he choose to leave the Serie A side.

For now, the Yorkshire have only expressed interest, and no official bid is understood to have been made.

Will Monk get Leeds promoted this year?
