Leeds striker, Marcus Antonsson, could be set to depart Elland Road just seven months after arriving in Yorkshire, according to reliable journalist, Alan Nixon.

Antonsson signed for Leeds in June 2016 from Swedish side, Kalmar FF, but he has struggled to get regular football for Leeds so far and his brief stint in England could well be coming to an abrupt end.

However, if the 6'1" Swede is to leave Elland Road, then it will only be if Leeds can bring Ashley Fletcher in before the deadline.

With the sale of Dimitri Payet, West Ham will have more funds available to sign Scott Hogan, who's arrival would push Fletcher further down the pecking order.

Antonsson has struggled for game time this year, through no fault of his own however, Chris Wood's form has kept him out of the side and he hasn't had a chance to get a regular start.

Most of Antonsson's appearances for Leeds have come from the bench, with his starts being mainly in the cup.
