Leeds United’s Souleymane Doukara has hailed the club’s supporters, claiming they are one of the best fan-bases in England, reports Yorkshire Evening Post journalist, Lee Sobot.

Garry Monk’s side are expected to be backed by another large away following tomorrow evening, when they travel to the Madejski Stadium to face Play-Off rivals Reading.

With Leeds well in the hunt for promotion from the Sky Bet Championship, Doukara has praised the Whites fans for their loyal support, he said: “They are one of the best fan-bases in England. Even if we go to China - they are going to come with us."

Leeds are currently fourth in the Championship table, and a 2-0 victory over title-chasing Brighton and Hove Albion before the international break, extended the club’s lead over seventh-placed Fulham to eight-points- increasing their chances of competing in May’s Play-Offs.

Monk’s side face another test of their promotion credentials this weekend against Reading, with Jaap Stam’s side fifth and just two-points behind Leeds in the table.

Doukara could have extra responsibility on his shoulders tomorrow, with top scorer Chris Wood a doubt after picking up a minor injury on international duty, and the Frenchman likely to replace the striker if he fails to prove his fitness.
