Andrea Radrizzani, the owner of Championship club Leeds United, has taken to Twitter to personally thank the club’s supporters for their support after United confirmed earlier on today that they have processed over 20,000 season tickets for the 2017/18 campaign.

Here is what the Italian businessman said:

Leeds announced the milestone on their official website where the Managing Director Angus Kinnear also wanted to say thank you to the fans.

Speaking to the club’s website he said:

We just want to say a huge thank you to the supporters who have committed their hard earned money to support their team.

“To see Season Ticket growth of over 40% is remarkable and a testimony to our fans unrivalled loyalty.”

This announcement comes following a great start to the season for Thomas Christiansen’s team as Leeds are one of only two sides undefeated in the league with three wins and two draws.

The more than 20,000 season ticket holders will next see their side in action against Burton this weekend as the Championship returns.

The Verdict

This milestone further proves that Leeds are heading in the right direction in terms of getting themselves back into the Premier League.

It sounds like an exciting time to be a fan of the club at the moment and with this massive amount of support pouring into the club this season, perhaps the team can push on and get back to where a club of United’s stature belongs, the top flight.
