The money will be coming directly from the controversial Italian, and will help to reassure the financial situation at the Yorkshire club.

Cellino took control of Leeds United on 7th February 2014, and it saw him acquire 75% ownership of the club, however he was initially rejected the chance to takeover the club, but he later won an appeal to complete the takeover.

The Italian has been widely criticised this season for sacking three managers since being at the Elland Road outfit, having sacked Brian McDermott, David Hockaday, and Darko Milanic.

Leeds are currently 15th in the Sky Bet Championship table, having amassed 23 points from 19 league games.

Neil Redfearn's side came out surprise 2-0 winners against Championship table-toppers Derby County at Elland Road on Saturday, courtesy of two goals from striker Mirco Antenucci.

Meanwhile, Leeds have been handed a significant boost in the race to sign a Serie A midfielder, as reported on FLW.
