Leeds United have their fair share of players that are unlikely to be featuring for the first team under Marcelo Bielsa anytime soon.

One of those players is likely to be Ouasim Bouy, who is yet to feature for the Whites since moving to Yorkshire in 2017.

But the Leeds defender has clearly got some good contacts to train with, as Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba underwent some recovery sessions with the 26-year-old.

Pogba took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal that he was taking part in some training as he recovers from a recent injury, with the Whites centre-back.

Both players will know each other well from their time at Italian giants Juventus, although they both made contrasting impacts in their spells with the club.

Pogba made 178 appearances for Juventus over a four-year spell, before making a 'big-money' move to Manchester United in August 2016.

But Bouy only made one appearance for the Juventus senior team, and was sent out on loan to a number of clubs across Europe before moving to Leeds United in the summer of 2017.

It's been a similar story for the youngster though, with Bouy not making a single first-team appearance for the Whites, which will be slightly frustrating for the defender.

He spent last season on loan with Dutch side PEC Zwolle, making 18 league appearances for them as they finished 13th in the Eredivisie last term.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are challenging for promotion once again in the Championship, and will be hoping they can improve on last year's impressive league campaign, where they eventually lost out to Derby County in their play-off semi-final at Elland Road.

It remains to be seen as to whether Bouy will be able to force his way into Bielsa's plans anytime soon, although his future would look bleak at Leeds if they were to make a long-awaited return to the Premier League this term.

The Verdict:

I find it hard to believe that Bouy will have much of a future with Leeds United.

He's 26 and isn't going to be getting in the starting XI ahead of the likes of Ben White and Liam Cooper anytime soon, and it's clear to see that Bielsa isn't a huge fan of him as he's yet to feature for the Whites this season.

It seems as though it's only a matter of time before he departs Elland Road.
