Leeds United's Laurens De Bock could still be on the move despite a transfer to Greek side Aris falling through over the weekend.

The left-back is completely out of favour at Elland Road and spent last season on loan at KV Oostende in the Belgian top-flight after he failed to impress Marcelo Bielsa.

In truth, the 26-year-old has failed to impress anyone at Leeds since arriving from Club Brugge in January 2018 as he lost his place before the end of his first campaign in England.

Therefore, a transfer always seemed likely this summer and the Yorkshire Evening Post has confirmed that there are a lot of interested clubs, both in the UK and abroad, in De Bock and a deal could be done before the deadline.

The majority of European leagues have until September 2 to finalise deals for their squad, whilst it's the same date for Scottish clubs and those in League One, despite the Championship deadline having passed.

Should a move happen, De Bock will leave having played just seven times for the Whites.

The Verdict

This is positive news for Leeds United as they just need to get rid of De Bock now in order to reduce the wage bill.

For whatever reason it just hasn't worked out for the Belgian since he arrived in Yorkshire and Bielsa made it clear pretty quickly that he isn't a fan of the player.

Leeds have plenty of options at left-back right now so it's not like they need to source a replacement either.

So, it's just about finding the best deal for themselves and the player before the deadline next week.
