Reports from Spain suggest Garry Monk's Leeds United are set to complete the signing of Villarreal attacker Alfonso Pedraza.

The 20-year-old is highly-rated in Spain but could cut a loan spell in the second tier to sign permanently for Leeds as they look to hunt for promotion to the top-flight.

Pedraza made his debut for Villarreal in April 2015 but has failed to break into the first-team and was forced to go out on loan to CD Lugo for the season, although his parent club are said to recall the forward so he can sign for Monks' side.

The Spain under-21 international has scored six goals this season as he looks to gain experience in senior football.

It is understood that if Leeds are promoted to the Premier League at the end of this campaign then the Yorkshire outfit will have to pay a £8 million fee for Alfonso Pedraza.

Garry Monk will be looking to get this deal completed before the 11pm deadline on Tuesday, and it would be the second signing for Leeds United this month, after Pablo Hernandez put pen-to-paper on a permanent contract at Elland Road.

Leeds fans, what do you make of this potential signing? Is he worth £8 million from what you know? Can he help you in your promotion hunt?
