Leeds United are set to announce another summer signing as the arrival of Chievo striker Caleb Ekuban is looking imminent, according to the Yorkshire Post.

The Ghanaian forward is expected to complete a medical at Elland Road in the next 48 hours following successful talks between Leeds United and Serie A side Chievo Verona.

Ekuban is yet to actually make an appearance for the Italian side as he has spent most of his time out on loan, most recently with Albanian side Partizani Tirana where he found the net 17 times.

At 23 years of age, the forward is now looking for a new permanent home offering regular first team football instead of being shipped out on loan which has been the case for four consecutive years.

He still has another year left on his contract with Chievo but it is understood that he has expressed his desire to move to England.

If the expected transfer is completed then he will become the seventh summer signing for Leeds United who will be looking to gain a play-off place in the rapidly approaching campaign.

Manager Thomas Christiansen will be hoping that the deal will be finalised as soon as possible, especially before the squad travel to Austria on Friday for a pre-season trip.
